A major fashion retailer has announced plans to move into the former Debenhams unit in Silverburn Shopping Centre.
Zara is to move into the 47,000 sq ft space which was vacated in 2020 by the department store amid tough financial times for the 200-year-old brand which saw it close all of its physical locations.
The announcement will see the fashion brand move from its existing home to the much larger space which covers two floors in the centre of Silverburn.

Zara say the unit will be transformed with a new façade and flagship design while also featuring their latest store concept and integrated online services.
It comes as fashion retailer Mango and Kingpin Bowling are set to open later this year.
David Pierotti, General Manager of Silverburn, said: “This long-awaited announcement ushers in a new chapter for Silverburn and reaffirms our position as a premier destination for brands seeking exceptional spaces to showcase their offerings.
“Silverburn is on a roll, and the team is eager for what’s to come. Last year, we achieved a record footfall of over 15 million visitors. With our latest additions and a packed schedule of family-friendly events, 2024 is set to be another fantastic year.”
