One of Scotland’s leading youth charities is hosting a community fun day with free food and family sports.
More importantly, organisers will also be offering specialist gambling addiction advice to anyone who turns up for the fun-packed afternoon.
Edinburgh-based organisation Fast Forward is running the event alongside some of the best rounders players in the UK.
They hope that as many youngsters and families from the Drumchapel community will attend the event at the town’s high school.
Anyone coming along will get a free meal provided by nell’s Kitchen and day out in the sun.
It will be an amazing opportunity for local families to get together to enjoy a fun game of rounders.
There will also be a chance for residents to chat to the staff about gambling addiction and a number of workshops for people to discover more about the issue.
Fran Howard, the programme manager for Fast Forward’s Scottish Gambling Education Hub, said the day will give the community a great chance to get together, have a lot of fun and learn about the harms that gambling can pose to youngsters.
Fast Forward has teamed up with a lived experienced charity called Early Knights to bring the event together.
She said: “It’s going to be an amazing day at Drumchapel High School – whether you’re any good at rounders or not. It will be a really good laugh.

“As well as playing with some of the best rounders players in the UK, people who attend will be able to find out more about gambling in our communities if they want to.
“We’re also investigating gambling harms in Scotland, and the levels of support that is available to those who might be experiencing such harm.
“We are exploring the extent to which people are aware of the support available to people who are experiencing harms from gambling, and their willingness to access such support.
“We’re hoping people will talk to us about their own experiences.”
