If you own an Amazon Fire TV Stick there’s a very simple way to access 100,000 movies for free. The best part is, it’s totally legal and you don’t even need to sign up, hand over your email address or hit a subscribe button. The massive content boost is all down to a lesser-known app called Fawesome which is available to download on Fire devices, iPhones, Android and Roku sticks.
Once installed, you simply launch this platform to discover a swathe of new and classic films to watch including romance, comedy, horror, crime, documentary, action, Fantasy, Mystery, Thriller, Sci-fi or drama.
Of course, this is a free service so don’t expect to see the very latest Hollywood hits but, if you hunt through the extensive library there are plenty of flicks to enjoy.
A quick search reveals movies like The 51st State starring Samuel L. Jackson, The Patriot with Steven Seagal, Point Blank with Mickey Rourke and The World’s Greatest Dad with Robin Williams.
If you have a favourite actor you can also find movies based on specific Hollywood legends with dedicated zones for people such as Robert De Niro, Robin Williams, Anthony Hopkins, Jackie Chan and Sylvester Stallone.
If movies aren’t your thing, there are lots more things to watch including documentaries, true crime, Sci-Fi and British TV.
“Watch 100,000+ Movies & TV shows across 25+ genres on Fawesome for free,” the team behind the service explained.
“Instant streaming, no registration or subscription. Download and start watching your favourite movies & TV shows in seconds.
“Exclusive for June, Fawesome presents a curated watchlist to celebrate Pride Month, Father’s Day, and National Best Friends Day. Dive into a selection of blockbuster movies, including Insidious, Pain & Gain, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, The Postman, Prisoners, Case 39, The Monster Squad, The Prize, Rio Bravo, El Dorado, and many more.”
If that sounds enticing then here are all the devices that are compatible with this streaming platform.
Fire TV, Roku, Xfinity, Apple TV, iPhone, Android, Windows, LG TVs, Kindle, Samsung TVs and Xbox.
Of course, Fawesome isn’t the only free platform available on Fire TV Sticks. Owners will also find plenty of things to watch via apps including Amazon’s own Freevee service plus there’s Plex, Peacock and Pluto TV to name a few.
To help pay their way. All of these services feature adverts in between shows but if you don’t mind viewing sponsored messages and don’t want to fork out for expensive subscriptions to things such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ there’s plenty of decent content to be found without reaching for the credit card.
