A young man has died in a fatal incident involving a tractor near Oranmore, Co Galway.
The incident took place on a local road in Rinn, Oranmore at around 3.30pm.
A 19-year-old male passenger was injured in the incident and transferred by ambulance to University Hospital Galway, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported.
The scene was preserved for a technical examination which has since taken place and the road has reopened.
A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been appointed to support the family of the deceased.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
