A champion strong man who claimed a car crash had left him too weak to hold shopping bags has being filmed lifting logs, concrete balls, and a Ford Transit van with his bare hands.
Scott Maw, who was crowned Yorkshire’s strongest man last year, told doctors a whiplash injury following a collision in Sheffield had left him struggling to perform basic physical tasks such as DIY and getting into the bath.
He lodged an insurance claim to the other driver’s provider when he said the pain persisted.
Maw said his claim was not a lie as he still feels pain which he attributes to the accident
But less than two weeks after the crash, Maw was filmed excelling in gruelling feats which involved pulling an eight-tonne tractor for 90 seconds, carrying stones weighing 170kg for 50 metres and log pressing 120kg up to eight
