Y-3 and Japan Unveil New Collaborative Collection During Fashion Week

Must read

adidas, Y-3 and the Japan Football federation have just unveiled their first-ever collaborative collection, debuting high-end football kits, lifestyle clothing and accessories during Y-3’s SS25 Paris Fashion Week show.

The collection plays on Yohji Yamamoto’s design ethos, merging fashion and sport seamlessly for both on-pitch wear and lifestyle items. The kits are masterpieces, with the collaboration offering a stylish home and away selection. The home arrives in navy and electric blue whilst the away is a sleek white and red. A flame motif engulfs the kits, swirling on the shorts, as well.

The culturewear selection includes a dual-branded Y-3 x JFA football scarf, a flame-decorated bucket hat and matching tee, a cap and other fashion essentials for the most stylish federation around. The standout pieces, however, are the lifestyle kit and the bomber jacket, taking this collection to a whole new level of fashion greatness.

The long-sleeved jersey arrives in two colourways – perfect matches for the home and away kits – with pillars of smoke and flame decorating the body and spilling over onto the sleeves. A pair of matching shorts continue the smoky motif for an eye-catching fit. The royal blue and white bomber jacket is a silken work of art, embroidered with the JFA’s three-legged raven and red plumes of smoke.

The on-pitch collection launches first on the adidas website and select retailers on 22 June, arriving with the lifestyle collection in-store and on the CONFIRMED app starting 1 July.
