Microsoft is reportedly issuing refunds for Redfall’s Bite Back Edition
Last month, Microsoft announced that Redfall developer Arkane Austin and three other Bethesda studios are shutting down due to restructuring within the company. Along with news of the studio’s closure, Microsoft said that Redfall’s upcoming Redfall Hero DLC has also been canceled, which would have been included as part of the game’s premium Bite Back Edition, had also been canceled.
Despite Arkane Austin creating a refund page for Bite Back Edition owners, it appears Microsoft is now automatically issuing the refunds. As reported by Windows Central, players across Xbox and Steam are apparently now receiving refunds for Redfall’s Bite Back Edition Redfall’s Bite Back Edition to the tune of $26.99.
The refunds are reportedly going out in waves, so if you haven’t received an email yet, you might need to wait a little longer — double-check your junk folder just to be sure. Of course, these refunds are rolling out to players who purchased the premium edition digitally, but players have suggested that Bethesda’s customer support is helping refund physical purchases.
Although Microsoft said all future updates have been canceled for Redfall, Arkane Austin still managed to roll out one final update for the game — adding an offline mode — before it shuttered completely.
