Xbox not going full multiplatform

In his paywalled Notepad newsletter, Tom Warren of the Verge has stated that Microsoft is in the early stages of development on a remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved and it may launch on PlayStation’s console. Alongside that Mr. Warren’s piece intimated that for the upcoming “Project Latitude” port program:

Games in consideration on Project latitude: Age of Empires II: DE, Age of Mythology: Retold, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Starfield, Halo: CE Remaster, Doom: The Dark Ages. Gears 6 hasn’t been considered yet. We shouldn’t expect to see any of these types of announcements on Sunday’s show.

“I’m not expecting to hear much about Project Latitude during Sunday’s Xbox showcase, as Microsoft will largely focus on games for Xbox instead. Microsoft isn’t planning to go fully multiplatform and not have Xbox exclusives”

Starfield is supposedly targeting September for its Shattered Space DLC while Avowed is aiming for November. Towerborne may end up an early access release while South of Midnight and Fable are potentially 2025 launches. There’s a lot more in the piece, which is paywalled, so head HERE if you’re interested.
