Paris-Saint Germain star Xavi Simons remains tight-lipped about his future amidst increasing speculation linking him with a summer transfer to Manchester United.
The talented winger impressed on loan at RB Leipzig last season, racking up an impressive 10 goals and 15 assists over 43 matches and reportedly drawing attention from several Premier League clubs this window, including Arsenal and Liverpool.
Still having three years to run on his PSG contract – after rejoining them last summer via a buy-back option from PSV Eindhoven and instantly being loaned out to Leipzig – Simons has yet to feature for the French giants during his second stint.

Having played in the Netherlands’ Euro 2024 goalless draw against France on Friday, the 21-year-old was probed by reporters post-match about the swirling rumours surrounding his future.
On the transfer talk and the future, Simons stated: “I was happy in Paris. Things have happened. Now, I was in Leipzig this year. We’ll see after the Euros.”
United have been linked with a number of other wide players this summer, most notably Michael Olise. However, it seems they will lose out on the Crystal Palace star with Bayern Munich thought to be nearing a deal.
United are operating on a low budget this summer amid tight finance limits within Premier League Profit & Sustainability Rules. It’s likely that players will have to be sold if United are to land all of their targets.
Erik ten Hag is keen to bring in a defender, a midfielder and a striker. Centre-back Raphael Varane will leave upon the end of his contract this month, as will attacker Anthony Martial, while Casemiro is widely tipped to depart with them.
