Manchester United will have to move on from Michael Olise with the Crystal Palace star choosing to join Bayern Munich.
Alongside United, both Chelsea and Newcastle had shown interest and held initial talks but as per The Athletic, Olise has decided Germany will be his destination with Bayern as his chosen club. As such, the three interested English clubs need to look elsewhere in order to improve their respective frontlines.
At Stamford Bridge, the plan remains to sign a winger and a striker while Newcastle are advancing in talks to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton. As for United, it is currently unclear what Erik ten Hag will do following Olise’s decision, however it is likely there were a number of options being considered alongside Olise.

The European championships have a plethora of talent on show with three wingers all at the tournament proving themselves before a potential summer transfer. With that in mind, MEN Sport has taken a look at who United could sign to strengthen their wide areas after losing out on Olise.
Xavi Simons
One of the Premier League clubs already showing an interest in Xavi Simons is Man United. Fresh off a superb loan spell at RB Leipzig, his parent club Paris Saint-Germain are again looking for him to seal a temporary departure for the 2024/25 season with his Euro 2024 performances for the Netherlands proof of his ability.
With United and Arsenal having made contact, Ten Hag could be tempted by a move for Simons especially with Bayern on the verge of signing Olise. The German giants had held concrete talks with PSG over a loan with obligation to buy deal for Simons and there is no reason why United couldn’t try to strike the same deal.
Nico Williams
Another exciting winger impressing at the European championships is Nico Williams of Spain. The Athletic Club star, who has a release clause in his contract said to be in the region of £55million, has already emerged as a target of both Arsenal and Chelsea.
Having scored eight goals and picked up 19 assists last season, it is very clear what United would get from signing the 21-year-old with the creative burden on Bruno Fernandes lessening if he arrives at Old Trafford.
Pedro Neto
Signing Wolves’ Pedro Neto could be considered a gamble with his injury issues in mind, however he is a frightening winger when at full fitness.
Club captain Fernandes and player of the season Diogo Dalot are likely aware of just how good their Portugal teammate is with it entirely plausible United push to sign him with their help. Like Simons and Williams, Arsenal have shown an interest in the 24-year-old but their current transfer priority is to strengthen in midfield.
