WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has asked fans to pray for his son Jimmy Uso.

The 39-year-old superstar hasn’t been seen on screen since an appearance on SmackDown in April when he was written off television by The Bloodline, and fans have been eagerly awaiting his return.

On Wednesday, his famous father shared a cryptic tweet alongside an emotional video of his son.

He wrote alongside the video: ‘Dear GOD 🙏🏾 for strength & health to continue #JimmyUso #wwe #Bloodline #Anoai #Fatu Stay prayed for my boy #JonathanFatu (sic)’

Fightful reporter Sean Ross Sapp said he has followed up ‘with people in WWE’ who ‘say that they’ve spoken to Jimmy Uso, who says he’s fine’.

Neither Jimmy nor his twin brother Jey have addressed the tweet, while Jimmy’s wife and fellow SmackDown wrestler Naomi is also yet to address Rikishi’s post.

The clip featured a shot of Jimmy backstage on a WWE show, with an unidentified voiceover saying: ‘Dear God, grant me the strength I need to continue on this journey, give me hope and endurance in the face of difficulty.

‘I rely on your guidance, strength and love to help me in times of trouble. Remind me that I am capable of getting through anything that comes my way.’

Many fans have flooded the post with prayers and words of support.

‘We praying For You Jimmy,’ replied one fan, as another added: ‘hope all is well with you Jimmy🙏❤️’

And a third person wrote: ‘We will always pray for your boy and the entire family. We support you guys good times and bad. ☝️🙏’

Jimmy’s most recent match came against his twin Jey on the first night of WrestleMania 40 in April, while the next night the brothers got involved in the main event between cousin Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

The Usos’ younger brother Solo Sikoa is also a wrestler, and is currently fronting the new Bloodline on SmackDown with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

Over the past four years, the family has been feuding as part of the Bloodline saga storyline, and Jey recently admitted he couldn’t ever imagine not talking to Jimmy in real life.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk and cheekily inviting Oasis siblings Liam and Noel Gallagher to WWE’s upcoming Manchester show, he said: ‘I’m happy that you guys squashed whatever beef that you guys had to continue to do what you guys love.

‘If it was me and Jimmy, there’s no way I could not talk to him, you know? I feel like I just always need my brothers.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted WWE for comment.
