A woman who claims to have been locked in a barn and kept as a sex slave for four years had all her teeth and lips removed in ‘cruel experiments by Poland’s Josef Fritzl’.

The woman, who has been identified by her first name Malgorzata, is alleged to have been held captive for four years in a barn near Glogow, Poland.

She revealed her ordeal to doctors after she arrived at hospital to be treated for a dislocated shoulder.

She told fellow patients she was being repeatedly raped and tortured while locked inside an outbuilding, even becoming pregnant and having his baby.

Doctors found she had suffered extensive facial damage while the rest of her body was covered in a variety of abrasions and scars.

Her alleged captor Mateusz Jach, 35, was charged last week with mental, physical and sexual abuse.

The woman was taken to hospital on several occasions and even gave birth to a baby, but was too afraid of her attacker to tell anyone about her plight.

Malgorzata told local news site MyGlogow of her ideal, explaining: ‘I couldn’t tell the doctors the truth, I was afraid, and he threatened me that if I complained, it would get even worse.

‘He put a balaclava on me so I wouldn’t see where we lived when he took me to the hospital. The same when he took me out at night to wash up. Sometimes he would just spray me with a hose, but if I was obedient, I would get warm water.’

She was forced to give the baby up for adoption, which she said she did not want to do.

She was reportedly hospitalised multiple times during her four-year captivity. Mateusz is accused of breaking her arm and leg, and last year she allegedly needed surgery for damage to her anus.

She was in her 20s when she met Mateusz on a dating site in 2019. She travelled to the village of Gaiki, near Glogow in Poland, to meet him for the first time.

But Mateusz is accused of then holding her captive in a disused barn previously used to house animals just four metres (12ft) away from neighbours.

The barn had no electricity, running water or heating and she had no access to a toilet or even sunlight, as the window had been bricked up.

Sources close to the investigation MailOnline: ‘While the woman was in hospital, she began talking to another patient about what had happened to her.

‘They were speaking in confidence but the patient alerted the doctors about what had happened to her. She is in a really serious condition, both physically and psychologically.

‘From what we heard, the girl does not have lips now because of everything he had done to her. Her face is covered in bruises and she just has an open hole [where her mouth is] without the lips.

‘The woman said he [Jach] was doing some kind of trial on her. He was experimenting on her. He was trying out different things on her.

‘On Monday, she was transferred from a hospital in Glogow to a specialist hospital. We have no idea where but believe it’s a psychiatric hospital.’

The case has been compared to infamous criminal Josef Fritzl, who kept his daughter imprisoned in the basement of his home for 24 years, fathering seven incestuous children with her through rape.

Mateusz, who has denied any wrongdoing, was arrested and charged with mental, physical, and sexual abuse on August 30.
