Hyderabad: A financial dispute led to the alleged abduction of a woman from Suraram on Saturday. She was rescued by police on Sunday. Suraram police said that Rani was rescued from Manikeshwar Nagar, reportedly from the residence of the accused. However, police were tight-lipped about the case and did not reveal any arrests were made in the case.On Saturday, the accused went to the residence of Rani looking for her husband Laxman. When they could not find him, they abducted his wife by forcibly taking her away in a car. When Laxman came to know that a few men kidnapped his wife, he lodged a complaint and raised suspicion against a few suspects. “We came to know that he took money from several persons with a promise to provide
jobs, including in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. He allegedly collected money from aspirants and later failed to keep the promise to provide jobs,” police said. The job aspirants have been demanding answers besides seeking return of money. Based on the details of the suspects shared by Laxman, police traced them using their mobile phones. When they conducted a search at Manikeshwar Nagar, they found the victim. tnn
