IFA 2024: Withings has unveiled a new health-focused hybrid smartwatch – and a new cardiologist review service.
Withings has introduced the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant, a new luxury hybrid smartwatch that incorporates the company’s medical grade health features.
Available in November 2024, the Nova Brilliant comes in a titanium silver or silver-and-gold finish.
It boasts a unisex 39mm case, so it’s certainly made for smaller wrists – and the design is pretty feminine. The Nova Brilliant features a durable sapphire glass face, 50m water resistance, and a 5-link bracelet.
While it sports an analog look, the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant includes the customary ScanWatch OLED screen for showing daily stats and basic notifications.
It packs in ECG for detecting atrial fibrillation, blood oxygen monitoring (SpO2), and sleep tracking. It also tracks activity with over 40 recognized exercises, features connected GPS (you have to take your smartphone with you for distance data), and provides fitness assessments via VO2 Max.
With a 30-day battery life and a price tag of $599.95/€599.95/£549.95.
Withings Launches Cardio Check-Up
In addition, Withings has announced Cardio Check-Up, a new in-app service that enables Withings+ users to submit ECG or heart rate data for review by board-certified cardiologists.
Users with Afib rhythm or inconclusive results can get clarity over their data, within 24 hours. Cardio Check-Up allows users to submit ECG readings from any Withings device with ECG.
Withings+ is the company’s premium tier subscription, which costs €9.95/month or €99.95/year. And members get four check-ups per year as part of the Withings+ plan.
Initially available in France, Germany, and the UK, Cardio Checkup will be added to Withings+ in Q4 2024. It will expand to the U.S. at a later date, according to Withings.
