Artery rupture
Back in 2014 Nick was left bleeding heavily when a sneeze led to an artery rupturing in his sinus .
At the time Nick blamed it on his busy lifestyle and said: ‘I was on the way to doing to myself what my father had done to himself. So I went to a retreat in Thailand. I took up yoga, became vegan, and they’ve worked well for me’, reports Birmingham Live.
Nick’s father Edwin died of stoke when the presenter was just 33 and has since admitted being rattled with guilt following his passing.
He told the Death: A Changing Industry podcast: ‘And I found that incredibly difficult so I didn’t visit him when he was in the care home as much as I should’ve done in the last year of his life.
‘And then he passed away and I had this moment of realisation that I’d let him down at the most difficult time in his life by not being able to handle it. So that took me a long time and then I was very upset.’
Secret long Covid

A source told The Mirror: ‘The fact he is getting scans shows just how serious this is. There is only so much time they can give him to recover’.
‘Nick is a popular guy and losing him so early in the competition would be a blow to the show’s ratings too.
‘It doesn’t look great at the moment so everyone is just hoping the outlook is better after the weekend.’
