The latest season of the hugely popular game Fortnite is winding down and it’s time for a little Remix.

Epic Games announced the start of a new mini-season that will see the return of the iconic island from 2019. Chapter 5 Season 4 will come to an end shortly and will usher in a three-part, month-long Remix season with promises of a, “chapter end event to remember.”

Even though the name of the mini-season gave hints of a throwback, some gamers were worried when the sneak peek released by the company reportedly still showed the Chapter 5 map. The company quelled the fears of gamers by posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the Chapter 2 island was indeed coming back.

Can’t wait for the remix? You won’t have to wait too much longer. Here’s when it starts and what to expect.

When does Fortnite Remix live event start?

Players will see the start of the new season on Friday night with a brand-new live event known as Remix: The Prelude. Tennessee gamers can catch Prelude on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT. Players were reminded to log in early to “beat the queue.”

The official start of Fortnite Remix: Chapter 2 is set for Saturday, Nov. 2, according to the game’s official social media account.

What will gameplay in Fortnite Remix look like?

Gameplay has been kept pretty hush-hush by Epic Games, according to the gaming website GameRant. The main thing known is that the map will be a throwback to the Chapter 2 map with “splashes of content from earliest seasons” in the content update.

How long will Fortnite Remix be up?

This will just be a mini-season, so players will have until Saturday, Nov. 30, when the third and final part of Remix launches, Fortnite Remix: The Finale.
