So were you scrolling on your phone and missed the crucial twist? Here’s what you need to know about the season three twist.

What is the season three The Traitors finale twist?

During the first episode of season three host Claudia Winkleman announced a new change to the show.

After selecting her Traitors at the round table, she then said: “Listen carefully. Those who make it to the final will no longer reveal their true identities as they leave. Instead, you will need to rely solely on your instincts as to whether any Traitors are left in the game. I’ll let that sink in.”

So what does this mean? Well if you cast your mind back to the season two finale, before Harry walked away with the prize pot, the finalists had one final round table, and in it both Andrew and Evie declared whether they were a Traitor or Faithful after being suspected and it was revealed that Andrew was a Traitor and Evie was a Faithful.

Going into the final three Jaz, Harry and Molly had more information to go on as to how many Traitors they had got rid of.

But this time around the season three contestants won’t be able to rely on that and instead will just have to trust their instincts.

Well we will most definitely be seated for the finale on 24th January.

The Traitors is available on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
