While there haven’t been any full-on confirmed AI trainer job scams, there are some users online — including posters on Medium and Reddit — that have reported suspicious activity from businesses inquiring about the position, including lower rates of pay than listed and questionable onboarding practices.

All that to say, it’s best to be extra vigilant if you’re looking for an AI training job on sites like Upwork and Fiverr, because they might not be entirely forthcoming with the details. After all, if something seems too good to be true, it often is.
