The group also encompasses environmental and safety consultancy Stansted and construction plant hire and warehousing arm Weston Logistics.

Gore joined Weston Homes in 2021 as group operations director. Prior to this, he worked as maganing director for Taylor Wimpey London and also held senior delivery and construction director roles at Barratt Homes and Mount Anvil.

Gore joins at a time of targeted expansion.

He said: “Despite an extremely challenging economic climate, with squeezed margins, rising build costs, and a constrained mortgage market, the business continues to make headway and we look forward to launching a series of significant new residential development schemes with others in the pipeline.”

Earlier this year Weston Homes announced it would launch and develop an additional £315m in five new residential schemes during 2024, providing almost 900 more new homes across London and the South-East.

These five new projects, which are now already underway, are Tayfen Court in Bury St Edmunds, Brentwood Central, Town Quay and Jasper Wharf, both in Barking, and Bracknell Beechesin Bracknell.

Three further projects have also achieved planning already this year, offering another 700 homes to its pipeline.

All three of these sites are located in Essex – Stanway, Epping and Takeley.

Over the latest operating year Weston Homes achieved 872 legal completions (118 more than the previous financial year), and also completed the build of over 1,000 homes.
