American fast food chain Wendy’s will be opening their store at a North East shopping centre today – and is offering customers the opportunity to win prizes to mark the date.
The new branch will be opening its doors in Captain Cook Square on Thursday (May 16) at 10:30am – with queues set to start at 9am.
A spokesperson for Wendy’s said they will be offering special prizes to the first guests who walk through the doors.
These prizes will include free food and drinks, while free food and merchandise will be offered to those queuing outside the restaurant.
Signature menu items such as the Baconator, Dave’s Single and the Frosty dessert will be available from the new location.
A spokesperson for the store said: “The new restaurant will provide fans with the signature Wendy’s items they know and love across breakfast, lunch and dinner, including the Baconator®, Dave’s Single™, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and of course the Frosty® dessert (in chocolate AND vanilla).
“Always serving the freshly prepared, quality food that Wendy’s is known for at affordable prices, while providing exceptional hospitality and friendly customer service.
“Be sure to stop by! The restaurant will also offer a selection of meals sourced from Halal certified suppliers – these include all of the restaurants fried chicken options (classic & spicy nuggets, classic and spicy chicken burgers and salads).”
