Ten Hag claimed he didn’t train well enough to be included in their squad for the Premier League away trip to Arsenal, with the winger denying this in a since-deleted post on X.

After months in exile away from the first-team squad over his public retort to his manager, Sancho left to re-sign for his former club Borussia Dortmund on loan for the second-half of the 2023/24 campaign, but is now back at United.

He has returned to senior training at the Premier League giants and it appears that he and his boss are ready to start afresh.

Speaking via The Athletic on Sancho’s future at the club, Ten Hag said: “Yeah, as we said, we’ve drawn the line.

“Manchester United need good players and Jadon is a good player. We have drawn that line and we move on.”

“We’ve drawn the line,” he repeated when questioned if Sancho is set for a fresh start after returning to training. “We move on.”

Sancho signed for United from Dortmund in the summer of 2021 in a £73million move but has struggled since his move to Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals and assisted another six across all competitions since joining, with his last strike coming in May 2023.

However, he could now be set for a clean slate at United in time for the new season, Ten Hag’s third at the club since extending his stay.

There was heavy speculation the Dutchman would leave in the summer but his contract has been extended until 2026.

United’s pre-season campaign got off to a disappointing start on Monday as were beaten 1-0 by Norwegian side Rosenborg – Sancho was not part of the squad due to his late return to training following last season’s Champions League final.

The Red Devils. have made just one signing so far this summer, with Joshua Zirkzee signing from Bologna in a £36million move.
