Watch: The Panel's Euro 2024 Preview Show With McInally, Petit, Heskey And Huth

It’s nearly kick-off time for Euro 2024 as the best nations across European football come together in Germany to crown a new champion.

To celebrate it, we’ve put together the ultimate Euro 2024 panel of experts to discuss the tournament as we head towards the opening ceremony and the first game on Friday night between hosts Germany and Scotland.

Alan McInally is our host for The Panel, a legend of the game on the pitch for Scotland and as a pundit for Sky Sports.

Alan is joined by Robert Huth, a three-time Premier League winner in England and a former German international who will know exactly how the hosts are going into the Euros this time around on home soil.

Joining the pair is Three Lions legend Emile Heskey, who has been capped at every level for England, including 62 caps for the senior team.

Heskey famously scored to “make it five” as England beat Germany 5-1 in a World Cup qualifier in Munich in 2001.

An FA Cup and twice League Cup winner with Liverpool, Heskey will discuss the pre-tournament favourites England and consider what Gareth Southgate must do to get England over the line this time.

Last, but by no means least, is Emmanuel Petit, a World Cup and Euros winner with France, and of course a double winner with Arsenal in the top flight of English football.

This current generation of French talent hasn’t managed to land Euros glory yet and Petit thinks it is something the squad are keen to do to emulate his golden winning generation from 1998 and 2000.

All our coverage on The Panel for the Euros is brought to you with www.betovo.com and www.winsane.com throughout the summer.

Check out their match and outright odds, specials and more as the games get under way and we plot our route on The Panel to the Euros final on Sunday, July 14.

Who will get there and who should we look out for in Germany? Let’s find out.

Here is The Panel – Euro 2024 – Opening Show!

The Panel Predictions For Euro 2024

Petit Backs Barcola To Be Best Young Player

Emmanuel Petit believes Bradley Barcola can light up Euro 2024 just as he has since joining Paris St-Germain from Lyon in August of 2023.

The World Cup and Euros winner with France believes betting sites should be lowering their odds on Barcola in the Young Player of the Tournament market.

“If he has a chance to get to play a lot of minutes, then I will say Barcola,” Petit said.

“He came to PSG recently and he has been amazing, playing right and left and he is so quick.

“He will be on the bench. I think Didier Deschamps will start with Kylian Mbappe up front, Ousmane Dembele or Kingsley Coman on the right and Marcus Thuram on the left.

“Barcola is a left winger and he is very young and very talented. He was named as the best signing in Ligue 1 last season.”

Petit’s Tips:

Golden Boot – Cristiano Ronaldo
Player of the Tournament – Kylian Mbappe
Young Player of the Tournament – Bradley Barcola
Finalists – France v England
Euro 2024 Winner – England

Heskey Tips Musiala To Shine On Home Soil

Emile Heskey feels Jamal Musiala will thrive playing in front of a home crowd during Euro 2024, and he’s the one to back to be the Young Player of the Tournament on football betting sites

“I’m going to go with a player from the host nation, Jamal Musiala,” Heskey said.

“He’s a fantastic player who gets fans off their seats when he starts dribbling and takes on three or four players.

“We spoke about him being more decisive and scoring more goals, but he lights up a stadium when he starts dribbling. I’m always amazed when he’s on the ball.”

Heskey’s Tips:

Golden Boot – Harry Kane
Player of the Tournament – Kylian Mbappe
Young Player of the Tournament – Jamal Musiala
Finalists – England v France
Euro 2024 Winner – France

Huth Backs Kante To Take France Far

Robert Huth played with N’Golo Kante during his time at Chelsea and he backed Kante to be the key for France to do well this summer.

“It’s got to be somebody who is going to go far in the tournament,” Huth said.

“I think France will get to the final and England will go far. I’m going for my former team-mate N’Golo Kante. I’m going to go more defensive orientated.

“He’s been recalled to the France team and he is so understated and he could be the key player that links the defence and makes sure all is right when France go on the attack. Just like he has done in the past.”

Huth’s Tips:

Golden Boot – Kylian Mbappe
Player of the Tournament – N’Golo Kante
Young Player of the Tournament – Jamal Musiala
Finalists – Portugal v France
Euro 2024 Winner – Portugal

Robert Huth – Antonio Rudiger to be booked against Scotland in the opening game
