They’re back — one man and his dog in a cracking claymation for Christmas, their first outing since A Matter of Loaf and Death in 2008 and their first feature-length film since The Curse of the Were-Rabbit in 2005. You can see why Aardman Animation wanted to get the band back together. The Wallace and Gromit franchise is a golden goose — probably clockwork and incorporating a self-buttering toaster — for the Bristol company, whose other content has been sporadic of late, ranging from the so-so Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget to the properly shoddy Early Man.
