Vinted seller refuses to post t-shirt to buyer and pauses all activity on the app after ‘being left distraught by Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury split’

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury shocked the nation on Wednesday when the popular influencer couple called it quits on their romance in an unexpected and devastating split.

As mother-of-one Molly, 25, announced the separation on Instagram on Wednesday, she said she was ‘extremely upset’ over the break-up – and she wasn’t the only one.

A seller on second-hand clothes site Vinted, who is a mega fan of the couple, has revealed she’s pausing her business activities in order to mourn the relationship.

In a thread posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, a prospective buyer revealed a conversation she claimed to have had with a seller – who refused to post the item she wanted to buy as a result of Tommy and Molly-Mae’s split.

The Vinted seller said the breakup between the two celebrities had ‘impacted my mental health’ to such a degree that she had paused all postages.

When Molly revealed the split in an Instagram earlier this week, she wasn’t the only one who was left ‘extremely upset’ as one mega fan revealed that she’s had to take time out of being a Vinted seller to cope

In a screenshot of the conversation between the Vinted seller and their customer, the hopeful buyer can be seen asking if they’d managed to post the item yet.

Having received no reply, they followed up with a message reading ‘Hello?’ after which she received a long message from the ‘distraught’ seller who announced she taking time off for her ‘mental health’.

In her statement on the second-hand clothes selling app, the Molly-Mae fan wrote: ‘Hiya guys, assuming you didn’t see my last listing. I’m taking the time out of Vinted this week due to the Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury situation.

‘I’m distraught and it’s affected my mental health quite a lot as I am a big fan of her, I’m subscribed to her YouTube channel.

‘Sorry for the inconvenience but all items will be on hold until foreseeable future hope you understand.’

The devastated seller had then posted on her profile with a caption reading: ‘Sorry for the inconvenience but I will be taking time out of Vinted to deal with Molly Mae and Tommy situation. I am generally(sic) distraught and didn’t expect it to happen this week.

Those who viewed the Tweet online were quick to mock the Vinted seller for her immense distress with one commenter simply describing the situation as 'pathetic'

‘It’s affected my mental health badly so I need to take time out. I am subscribed to her YouTube channel and I wasn’t expecting this. Will update you all next week.’

The item in question was a bright pink cropped T-shirt with bubble lettering reading ‘Angel Baby’, from the Chinese fast fashion retailer, Shein.

While the t-shirt is no longer for sale on Shein’s website, the item has been uploaded on the app by other sellers for between £1-3.

After the disappointed buyer posted her bizarre conversation with the seller online, people responded in disbelief over the seller’s position, with some branding her ‘pathetic’.

One person wrote: ‘Generally instead of genuinely is the epitome of Fiat 500 Molly Mae.’

Other shocked commenters said: ‘Dead realistic this’ while another stunned individual wrote ‘I have absolutely no words’.

Fans were left bewildered after Molly-Mae announced her split from Tommy Fury on Wednesday after five years together.

The Love Island pair, both 25, had faced split speculation at the start of the year but in recent weeks they seemed to be stronger than ever.

Fans have speculated that Tommy was blindsided by the breakup, as recent posts on his social media accounts gave no indication their relationship was over.

In contrast, Molly-Mae hinted at trouble in their relationship as she posted pictures without her engagement ring on.

On July 23, the influencer seemed to still be smitten with Tommy as she celebrated the one year anniversary of his proposal by reposting a video of the moment.

The couple, met on Love Island in 2019 and went onto get engaged and welcome their daughter Bambi in 2023.

Taking to Instagram Stories to share the bombshell statement on Wednesday, Molly, 25, wrote: ‘Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.

‘After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.

‘I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.

‘I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.

‘I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.
