Vanessa Feltz has been rushed to hospital for surgery, admitting she’d been left ‘doubled down in agony’. The TV star shared with her fans that she’d been suffering from a kidney stone.
Speaking from her hospital bed, she said in a video posted on Instagram: “Good morning from hospital, bit of a surprise, yesterday I was absolutely fine, completely fine and I had the [grandchildren] over for lunch and I was completely fine.
“There was nothing wrong with me at all and then suddenly I got this pain and it was just absolutely extraordinary I’ve never had anything like it and i’ve given birth to two children naturally and never had any pain like that in my life.”
She added: “I was in agony I couldn’t sit down, I couldn’t lie down, I didn’t know what to do, it was absolutely astounding.”
Alongside the video clip, she wrote as a caption: “Gosh! Hello from hospital. 2pm I was fine. Had just made lunch and was playing with AJ, five, and Cecily nearly two. 3pm I was doubled over in agony. Scan showed big kidney stone’.
“OMG! Astoundingly painful. Rushed into theatre. Very grateful thanks to my daughters nurses porters anaesthetist and wonderful surgeon. Thank you so much.”
Many of her 392,000 followers have flocked to the comments section to wish her a speedy recovery. Holly Willoughby’s sister penned: ” Oh Vanessa!!!!! You poor thing. Sending you love and healing darling.”
A second person also commented: “Oh my goodness Vanessa how scary! Sending lots of love hope you feel better really soon! Xxx.”
TV star Myleene Klass penned: “Sending you all my love. You are handling everything like a warrior Queen. Here for you as always x.”

The presenter was filling in for Storm Huntley on the Jeremy Vine show last week, but admitted that she felt so “poorly” that she was forced to miss her LBC radio show on Monday.
