TAYLOR Swift fans have warned ticket holders for tonight and tomorrow’s Eras Tour concerts to be prepared after revellers were hit with travel chaos following the record-breaking gig.
A staggering 210,000 Swifties are set to pass through Edinburgh this weekend with crowds peaking at 73,000 last night alone.
With no public parking around the venue, ScotRail and Edinburgh Trams put on extra and late services to transport tired revellers from Murrayfield stadium back home.
Last night, thousands of punters spilled out of the venue following the end of the hotly anticipated concert.
Roads around the area were closed off as many chose to walk the three miles back to the city centre.
But even then, some fans from outside Edinburgh said they struggled to get home with some having to fork out on expensive taxis and Ubers.
Video online showed huge crowds at a standstill as they tried to exit the gig.
More queues formed around the Murrayfield tram stop with trams filling up as quickly as they could arrive.
Closer to the city centre, ScotRail put on later trains to Glasgow Queen Street, Perth, Dunblane and Dundee.
But the train operator said they have not been advertising the times apart from the last train to depart Edinburgh is at 12.12am to Glasgow to prevent a rush for the final service.
Swifties who are relying on public transport and were caught up in the travel chaos have urged those attending tonight and tomorrow to consider leaving before the end of the show at around 10.45pm.
Taylor wraps her whopping 46-song set list with Karma and fans are warning Saturday and Sunday ticket holders to leave during this song.
One Swiftie tweeted: “The mayhem for trams after Taylor Swift… that was the worst experience of my life!!! Either leave during bejewelled or just stick it out yall like I did.”
Another wrote: “Edinburgh failing pretty badly at getting people home from #taylorswift #erastour been waiting 28 mins for a tram and no sign it’s cold and we want to leave Murrayfield.”
A third added: “Wee bit of advice for anyone going to Taylor Swift tonight.
“Getting home last night was an absolute nightmare. 76k people leaving through one gate wasn’t a good experience. Tram queue was horrific and we got crushed. Kids were frightened.”
ScotRail are urging fans to head straight to Haymarket after the concert if they are planning to get a train home.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Customer Operations Director, said: “It will be fantastic to see so many people travel to Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium to see Taylor Swift, and ScotRail is delighted to be able to add more seats and extra late-night trains to help fans enjoy the occasion.
“We’re encouraging customers to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel to and from Edinburgh.
“Buying return tickets in advance on the ScotRail app or website will minimise your need to queue, and help your day run smoothly.”
Edinburgh Trams said additional services are being laid on before and after the global superstar takes to the stage, with trams running until at least 1.00 am for each concert.
