Two people have been killed after a helicopter crashed into a farm building in Ireland.
Police said the victims were both men aged in their 40s.
The crash happened at 3.30pm on Tuesday at a rural farm near Killucan in Co Westmeath and emergency services have been at the scene.
One of the victims was from Ireland and the other is understood to be from eastern Europe, police added.
Both were on board the helicopter when it crashed into a piggery building.
They were pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies have now been taken to Regional Hospital Mullingar where post-mortem examinations will be arranged.
The piggery building is close to pitches used by Raharney GAA club.
The Irish Air Accident Investigation Unit has sent a team of inspectors to the site of the single-engine helicopter crash.

Ireland’s prime minister Simon Harris has expressed his concern about the incident.
“Thinking of all those involved in the Westmeath helicopter crash,” he posted on X.
He added: “My thoughts & gratitude are also with all the emergency services working to help at this time.”
Ken Glynn, the mayor of the Mullingar-Kinnegad municipal district, has expressed his shock.
“My thoughts and prayers are with those involved and their families,” he said.
“I also want to commend the emergency services for their rapid response.”
