However, when Lynn appeared on air, Sarah realised she was wearing an almost identical outfit to the politician.

They both wore a white top and a bright green blazer on top. They also both had their naturally curly hair down

Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to notice the hilarious fashion mishap straight away as the pair appeared side-by-side on the screen.

After the unlikely coincidence, the 43-year-old took to Twitter to share a screenshot of the live show and joked: “‘Haven’t worn that green suit in ages’, I thought to myself. ‘Why not give it an outing tonight’.”

Sarah’s friends and fans were all in stitches laughing at the accidental “twinning” situation.

RTE star Maia Dunphy said: “Howling!! (great suit though!).”

Glenn commented: “Saw that and instantly thought ‘Twinning’… the cameraman was clever enough to pan out for the second view to show yours was a suit as a point of difference!”

Bernadette wrote: “I laughed when I saw this.”

David added: “Hahaha I was giggling about it!”

Gina remarked: “That is hilarious! Remind me to one day tell you my story about Princess Diana and the head of the Red Cross in the US! Twins.”

The Virgin Media star said she looked “mad” on TV after a major beauty malfunction before the live show.

She was back on air this morning alongside Tommy Bowe and Karen Koster, who’s currently filling in for Alan Hughes.

Muireann, renowned for her fabulous work outfits, took to Instagram after the show today to tell her fans about a major beauty nightmare she experienced.

The Limerick native took a stunning photo of herself posing in the dressing room wearing a pink patterned long-sleeve mini dress and beige pointed heels.

The popular presenter explained: “There was an explosion in the fake tan department this morning very close to air with no time to scrub off.

“So I probably looked a bit mad on the telly.”
