This gently rapturous series is getting mildly repetitive – but that isn’t a criticism, as Bob and Paul’s trips remain a priceless still point in a baffling world. They start a new series fishing for tench in Norfolk. The trip culminates in what Bob describes as “possibly the best fish we’ve ever caught” but, as ever, it’s really about the silly, touching, intimate chat, the mild overindulgence in the pub and the overall air of contentment. There’s a twist to the celebrity hazing ritual this year: Foxy, Rudy and the gang won’t eliminate the contenders. Instead, they’ll encourage them to see out the full, nightmarish eight days. This time, we’re in New Zealand where participants including Rachel Johnson, Anthony Ogogo and Pete Wicks will be traversing parallel bars suspended 335ft in the air. PH

This glossy comedy drama is a continuation of the 2013 film The Best Man Holiday and tells the sprawling story of a group of friends grappling with success, failure, loss and ageing. As soon as this latest adaptation of Henry Fielding’s 1749 novel begins, you’ll notice changes. Here, the story of foundling Tom (Solly McLeod) is narrated by his love Sophia (Sophie Wilde) who, in this version, is the Black daughter of a Jamaican slaver.
