Tube and Overground travel advice for this weekend

Must read

Several disruptions to the London Underground and Overground services are planned this weekend (July 13 and 14). If you’re planning to go out for the Euros final on Sunday, you might want to check what’s what.

West London Tube services are curtailed by vital signalling works which are affecting certain sections of the Jubilee line and Metropolitan line. In East London, the DLR also has several disruptions that could affect people watching the final at the O2 Arena.

London Overground services are particularly badly hit with several routes disrupted on the weekend and some parts even disrupted from next week until early August. Other routes are only affected for one day this weekend.

Tube disruptions

The Jubilee line and the Metropolitan line are both affected by partial closures while several routes on the Overground also have suspension, some of which carry over into the next working week.

The closures are all because of planned improvement or maintenance work and all have alternative routes laid out by TfL. These usually include rail replacement buses specifically for the service delayed or they can be made up with existing services via different routes.

The Jubilee line will have no service between West Hampstead and Stanmore on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July, including Friday and Saturday Night Tube. For stations between Wembley Park and Stanmore, use the Bakerloo line to Stonebridge Park, where rail replacement buses will operate. Rail replacement buses will run between Stonebridge Park and Stanmore, and between Finchley Road and Wembley Park. This is due to signalling upgrade works.

The Metropolitan line will have No service between Aldgate and Harrow-on-the-Hill, and between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Northwood (stopping services) on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July. Trains will not call at North Harrow, Pinner and Northwood Hills. Use alternative Tube, Chiltern Railway services, local or replacement bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run between Stonebridge Park and Harrow-on-the-Hill, and between Wembley Park and Northwood. This is also due to signalling upgrade work.
