A super fit gran has clapped back at keyboard warriors who think she’s had a little help to look so good after having five children.
Jacqueline Hooton, 61, from West Sussex, is smashing it by lifting twice her own weight and she’s passionate about encouraging women to build their strength. Even with osteoarthritis, the personal trainer won’t let anyone stop her from hitting her goals.
But some people don’t believe her, even though she regularly documents her fitness on social media. The cruel comments have left people totally shocked.

In an Instagram post, Jacqueline explained some people believe she couldn’t have “aged naturally” when they clock her lifting weights and bossing it in the gym. But she’s not about to let the trolls win, so she shut them down in the best way possible.
The glam gran uploaded another video showing off her muscle moves, and she’s got some serious strength.
A true believer in staying sprightly as the years tick by, she’s proof that hard work pays off when you want to keep fit into your sixties.
Taking to Instagram, Jacqueline wrote: “100kg/220lbs x 2 is still something I’m proud of today. It’s not my best lift, because annoyingly my grip gave out after two reps.
“Showing up is half the battle. Some people won’t like this though. They don’t believe that physical activity supports healthier ageing. Instead they make assumptions and judgements, and leave rude comments.
“But I’m not here for them, I’m here for YOU. I want to support, encourage, and inspire you in ways to look after your current health and invest in your future health.
“So even if your grip gives out, I won’t give out – I’m going to be cheerleading you saying ‘you can do this’. We don’t wish for it, we work for it.”
Since she shared the post, over 2,500 people liked it, and her followers were quick to comment too. Her followers told her she “continues to inspire people”, no matter what the trolls say.
One person said: “Don’t pay attention to those little people that have nothing to do with their lives. They’re probably jealous because they are half your age in paper, but double your age in their soul.”
Another wrote: “Thank you for always being inspiring. The clowns don’t know what they’re talking about. It’s also reassuring to see that even the experts have days where everything doesn’t go according to plan.”
A third also added: “Good strong life accomplished with hard work. Wishing it was magic, but it’s not!”
Jacqueline is known for inspiring women to better their health. She boasts a huge following on social media thanks to her can-do attitude, and her simple tips are really accessible to people of all ages.
The fitness fanatic previously encouraged people to wear the shorts this summer. Even though she looks amazing, the gran still receives cruel comments from trolls who tell her not to wear shorts.
In a recent video, she exposed how internet trolls told her that her knees are “about to break”, but she simply brushes it off. This is because she recognizes their value in enabling her to enjoy life, regardless of her age.
They’ve even supported her competing in the London Marathon in the past, denoting they’re really not that bad. In fact, she’s tremendously thankful for still being able to utilise them.
