An airline passenger has urged intrepid travellers to avoid using the ‘viral’ pillowcase hack or aeroplanes, after catching a man being stopped before boarding. TikTok user NatashaOrganic warned people to “not listen to the internet” as a fellow flyer was caught storing a number of clothing items in a pillowcase.
A man was stopped at Orlando International Airport in Florida, where he can be seen attempting to board his flight. Natasha warned people about following advice from the internet.
Although it’s not entirely clear if he was stopped for the pillowcase hack, but Natasha asked viewers to consider baggage policies before flying. Natasha can be heard saying: “Stop letting social media give you tips and tricks because sometimes it’s not gonna work.”

The travel hack helps passengers get through bag check without them having to pay for extra hand luggage. In the UK, any carry-on goes through a security check, searching for any liquids or prohibited items – however, if none are detected, it’s likely a pillowcase will be let through.
However, it’s important to remember that each airline has its own baggage policy, so it’s recommended to swat up on what is and isn’t allowed before you head to the airport. It may depend from flight to flight how strict boarding staff will be about using the pillow hack.
