Passengers heading to and from Manchester city centre could face severe disruption as engineering works take place this weekend. Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) says no trams will run through Victoria station on Sunday, June 2.
The works will affect Metrolink services on the Bury, Rochdale, East Didsbury and Manchester Airport lines. Services from Bury will terminate at Queens Road, while Rochdale trams will terminate at Monsall.
East Didsbury services will terminate at Exchange Square, while Manchester Airport trams will only run as far as Cornbrook. All services on the Altrincham line will terminate at the Etihad Campus, rather than in Bury.

Bus replacement services will be in use, with further details on these yet to be confirmed by TfGM. A Bee Network spokesperson posted on X this morning (Wednesday): “On Sunday, no trams will run through Victoria due to planned engineering works.
“If you’re travelling on the Bury, Rochdale, East Didsbury and Airport lines, please check before travelling. Replacement buses will run between impacted stops.”
