Travel Guides fans call for new stars Karly and Bri to be AXED

They’re the glamourous friends who are the latest addition to the hit Nine reality show Travel Guides.

But it seems fans aren’t too impressed with new guides Karly Fisher and Bri Auty, with calls for the globetrotting pair to be axed from the show after fans dubbed the pair ‘cringeworthy’.

Viewers of the long-running reality show have even taken to Facebook to launch an unofficial petition that aims to get the duo booted from the series.

‘Please take the two girls off the show,’ one fan commented.

‘Love all the travellers except the new girls, so hard listening to them, please bring back the twins,’ they added, referring to the departure of Stacey and Mel Wilburn, better known as Stack and Mel.

Another fan chimed in saying they believed the duo ‘spoilt the show’.

‘I love the show but yeah, get rid of those girls, they are so fake and spoil the show – they are very cringeworthy – you need to step up and get rid of them,’ they said.

With Travel Guides recently nominated for a Best Lifestyle Program at the 2024 Logie Awards, the stars of the popular series are reportedly jockeying for bigger salaries.

According to Woman’s Day, the cast are looking for a larger payday as they struggle to find work while not filming.

An insider explained to the publication the program only films for a limited amount of time each year and the stars are forced to negotiate brand deals when not filming. 

They would also reportedly like their contracts to include ‘extended travel time, improved travel expenses and first-class flights’. 

Speaking to 9Now in May, Karly and Bri, who first became friends on the 2022 iteration of Nine reality show Beauty and the Geek, revealed they jumped at the chance to team up for the popular travel show.

‘They asked us, “What are you doing for the rest of the year?’ and “Do you have your passports ready,”‘ the pair revealed to the publication.

‘We were like “Hell yeah'”.
