Andrew Nurnberg Associates are looking for an experienced, proactive and organized Translation Rights Agent (France) to start on the 2nd September 2024.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Representing the authors of our clients and ANA in the French market
- Strategizing and pitching projects to publishers
- Preparing and managing submissions in France.
- Managing the deal process from auction and negotiation to contract
- Advising on all aspects of the author’s/clients’ French business, from submission to publication
- Communicating with clients about jackets, publication strategy.
- Liaising as Client Contact for some of our clients.
- Line Management of one part time assistant
- Sales trips and attending book fairs.
Working across a range of works from bestselling and award-winning fiction and non-fiction authors and Literary Estates to Childrens and Young Adult authors this is an exciting opportunity for someone who will have worked in publishing in a translation rights capacity for at least four years and has excellent knowledge of the French market. Fluency in French is required. Candidates applying should have proven deal making skills and a good understanding of international trends.

The role is full-time and will be based in our new Bloomsbury office for typically 3 days per week, with the option of remote working for the remaining days.
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 dependant on experience
