Getting to Tramlines Festival
The nearest train station for many is the one located in Sheffield city centre. There will be a number of public transport options available to those wishing to get to Hillsborough.
There are two entrances to Hillsborough Park. The addresses for both are low:
- Penistone Road, Sheffield, S6 2AN
- Middlewood Road, Sheffield, S6 4HA
Travel by car
A Tramlines spokesperson said: “Tramlines is a metropolitan festival and we want to try to reduce the environmental impact of the event. We encourage visitors to use public transport and not travel by car where possible.”
If this is not possible please, limited car parking can be purchased here. All surrounding residential roads will not permit parking. If you park here you are subject to fine or towing.
At Hillsborough Leisure Centre car park there will be a black cab pick up and drop off spot. This will also operate as a general pick up and drop off point.
Public transport
Of course, given the event’s name, Tramlines has strong tram links for those wishing to travel from across Sheffield. The blue and yellow routes are the ones for those heading to Hillsborough Park – you can find the full list of stops here.
You can find out bus time tables and routes through the Travel South Yorkshire website.
