Road travel was also impacted after power cables fell on the A47, just across the border in Cambridgeshire.

The road was closed in both directions between the B1040 Station road and the A141 March Road, Guyhirn roundabout and reopened at 4pm.

A yellow weather warning is in place, with gusts expected to persist until 6pm today (Sunday).

The Environment Agency issued a flood warning today for the area surrounding the River Yare from Barnham Broom to the A11 at Cringleford, alongside a further six flood alerts across Norfolk and Waveney.

Travelers have been advised to check for updates and plan for potential delays as the storm continues to affect the region.
