Motorists are being warned of potential disruption during upcoming roadworks this week.
While there are no major maintenance schemes affecting the motorways in Lancashire or Cumbria this week roadworks are scheduled to be carried out on several A-roads.
These include Roman Road in Blackburn, Ringway in Preston and parts of Lytham. The restrictions involve reduced speed limits and road closures.

Blackburn
Temporary traffic lights will be in place in Roman Road from the junction with Manxman Road for 487m while gas mains replacement works are carried out.
The road will be closed from Monday, June 24, until August 2.
Preston
Motorists in Preston are being warning to expect delays during the summer due to a lane closure on Ringway.
Preston City Council said the closure will come into effect on Monday (June 24) and last for 12 weeks until September 16. It comes as work continues on the £45million Animate site. The lane closure will be in effect on the westbound route between Lime House and St Paul’s Square. The cinema scheme is due to be completed in ‘early 2025’ and in March it reached the highest point in its construction phase.
Lytham
A reduced speed limit of 40mph will be in place on Wild Lane and North House Lane from Friday, June 28, until Friday, November 1.
The reduced speed limit will affect Wild Lane, from its junction with B65410 Whitehill Road to its merging with North Houses Lane, and North Houses Lane from its merging with Wild Lane to its merging with B5410 Lytham St Annes Way.
