Rare – Internal Production Assistant

Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Internal Assistant Producer to join Perth’s award winning and largest independent full-service creative advertising agency. Our independence sets us apart at Rare and allows us to put people at the heart of everything we do.

The Internal Production Assistant, working closely with our Executive Creative Director, is responsible for supporting the Creative and Account Service departments with the planning, management and administration of campaign production from concept approval to dispatch, as well as acting as the central point of contact with Rare’s External Line Producer.

Your Responsibilities:
● Partner closely with the Creative and Account Service teams to ensure the successful delivery of campaign material such as photography, audio and video assets.
● Create and manage production schedules in collaboration with the Creative and Account Service teams.
● Manage production costs, engage with the External Line Producer and production partners for quotes and invoicing (Talent, CAD, Sound Design, Dispatch).
● Manage the administration related to campaign production (in concert with the Account Service team).
● Oversee the management of Talent via TalentPay or directly with casting companies for engagement, contracting, rights negotiation and invoicing.
● Manage dispatch administration of campaigns with relevant external parties.

Skills & Experience
● We request that you have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
● Experience in the delivery of film, photography and content production would be beneficial but not essential as there will be significant production expertise on hand to support the role.
● You will be very organised and have a friendly, professional attitude with an ability to manage multiple deliverables and drive projects forward in a calm manner.
● Adept at using Microsoft Excel and/or GoogleSheets.
● Excellent communicator with a proactive approach to driving projects forward.
● An ambassador for best practice but with a flexible, can-do mindset.
● Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
● An organised, efficient multitasker who is cool under pressure.
● A good head for finances.
● Has a keen interest in production.
● Enthusiasm for picking up new skills and knowledge.

About The Role
• Generate new business opportunities with clients. This may be achieved through cold calling/prospecting, networking or follow up on leads generated
• Sell advertising solutions to clients as allocated or personally developed with the objective of building, developing & growing the relationship & revenue
• Revenue generating appointments
• Achieve monthly sales budgets and delivering on the targets
• Work to ensure the creative process is delivered for an effective on-air strategy

About You
• Strong communication, time management, and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Able to build relationships with a diverse range of people and businesses
• Excellent customer service & selling technique, negotiation, influencing & interpersonal Skills
• Self motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
• Media sales experience is preferred but not essential

As a Production Manager / Junior Producer, you will:
Assist the King Street Producers with all aspects of production
Mentor junior roles
Lead on smaller jobs independently
Manage the traffic of work in and out of the department
Maintain up to date contacts for suppliers to the King Street team
Create competitive production estimates
Plan and manage production schedules
Monitor work scope and risk against all variables and escalate issues if required
Maintain communication between all relevant parties internal and external
Monitor budget and production activity and report back to ensure deadlines are met
When required, lead all appropriate project meetings in pre and postproduction
Facilitate production and be present on shoots when required
Create and maintain project status reports, estimates, PO’s, schedules, technical and production specs
Manage vendors and talent on assigned projects
Maintain a current driver’s license

Scitech / Particle – Senior Content Producer

We are looking for an experienced Content Producer to oversee the Particle content suite.

What is Particle?
Particle is Scitech’s independent content hub that connects young adults to science stories from Western Australia and beyond. Through articles, podcasts, video and activations, Particle celebrates the science that happens in WA and the research and innovation that affects Western Australia.

About the role:
A key part of this role is ideating and producing a wide range of original (primarily) online content – including articles, podcasts, videos, newsletters, social media and activations.

Working with the Manager of Digital Content, the Senior Content Producer will also manage the Digital Content Creator and mentor their growth and development. The Senior Content Producer will also be responsible for building strong relationships with our pool of freelance writers, aligned organisations and the broader scientific community.

Who are we looking for? 
We are looking for someone who loves science and telling stories.

The right candidate will have broad experience in digital content creation with a track record of producing high quality, end-to-end projects in the journalistic, podcast and video spaces. They will have experience in developing creative, strategically aligned and multi-media products both independently and collaboratively.

Key job duties include:
• Lead the development and implementation of a clear, future-focused digital content plan.
• Lead research and ideation to identify new digital STEM products and services, championing design thinking and insights driven content creation.
• Manage contractors and freelancers to ensure relevant high quality digital content is produced according to timelines and overall objectives.
• Develop concepts, storyboards, briefs and narratives for digital content production, including videos, animations, podcasts and photo essays as per Scitech’s content schedule.
• Engage with key talent and subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate, relevant and meets objectives.

Other skills and experience required includes:
• 3-5 years working in digital content, digital media, journalism or similar
• Experience with end-to-end photography, videography, and audio production & editing
• Experience with digital publishing, content management systems, and analytic tools
• Understanding and experience with different social media platforms and social media management
• Experience in content ideation, planning, and project management
• Acts as a mentor; sharing knowledge and insights while ensuring the team environment is collaborative.
• Understanding in brand management and marketing fundamentals
