Playing off new features like the AI-powered “FlexCam” for better zooming and previews of selfies as well as a more compact design for Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Flip6, the new English single “Open Always Wins” sees Soobin, Yeonjun, Taehyun and HueningKai co-writing with some of their longtime collaborators (like Slow Rabbit, Salem Ilese, Lindgren and Melanie Fontana) to celebrate the idea of openness. First catching listeners ears after being teased at the Galaxy Unpacked July 2024 event earlier this month, the alternative-rock track boasts the arena-ready rock-star vocals TXT have shown in songs like “0x1=Lovesong” and “Deja Vu,” electrifying guitar riffs, as well as the personal touches of the band’s own experiences.
The music video for “Open Always Wins” also amplifies the song’s message with scenes of TXT preparing for a performance with clips of Team Samsung Galaxy athletes (an inspiring group that includes Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics like Sky Brown, Johanne Defay, Madison de Rozario and Jagger Eaton) highlighting their dedication and perseverance in various sports. This visual representation showcases the synergy between music and athleticism and underscores the theme of overcoming challenges through an open mindset.
