A new trailer for Aspyr’s Tomb Raider I-III: Remastered highlights the critical acclaim the special compilation has received following its launch earlier this year. The video game collects the first three entries in the Tomb Raider video game series starring Lara Croft.
As reported by IGN, the trailer includes enhanced gameplay with improved graphics and numerous accolades the title has received, including numerous high ratings and pull quotes proving that the game is the definitive collection for Lara Croft fans. In addition to the original trilogy of games, the remaster also includes the Unfinished Business, Golden Mask and The Lost Artifact expansion packs. Critics have praised the game’s updated visuals and new gameplay features, while also noting that the remastered edition has remained faithful to the original Tomb Raider trilogy.
Kingdom Hearts Series Set To Release On a New Platform
The popular Final Fantasy and Disney crossover, Kingdom Hearts, will be available to purchase on another platform this summer.
In addition to critics’ approval of the remastered game, the trailer also highlights player satisfaction following the game’s release. The game has a 4.5 PS and Xbox score as well as an 87% rating from Steam users. Tomb Raider I – III Remastered went on sale Feb. 13 and is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and Windows PC.
Tomb Raider Gets In-Depth Remaster Nearly 30 Years After Original Release
Aspyr’s remaster of the original Tomb Raider trilogy comes 28 years after the first game was released back in 1996. At the time of its release, Tomb Raider was praised for its innovative 3D graphics and gameplay, with the title being critically acclaimed as one of the greatest video games of all time. Numerous sequels followed the original Tomb Raider, with Core Design releasing games for the franchise until 2003. Crystal Dynamics took over from 2006 to 2015, releasing seven games in the franchise. The most recent Tomb Raider title to be released, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, came out in 2018 from Eidos Montreal.

Lara Croft’s adventures continued as the franchise expanded into movies starring Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, as well as television series, comics and even novels. More recently, Amazon greenlit a live-action Tomb Raider series with Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge at the helm.
