Three-bed house goes on the market for £310,000 – but it has one interior feature that has prospective buyers absolutely baffled

Must read

A three-bedroom home has been ruthlessly mocked for one quirky interior design feature that has left prospective buyers baffled.

The ‘unique’ detached, 1970s property in Wolverhampton has hit the market for £310,000. It boasts a utility room, garage and living and dining room.

But, one room, in particular, has left potential buyers scratching their heads.

The small room, which appears to be the garage, has two armchairs facing three doors all positioned next to each other.

The doors actually lead to a series of cupboards. However, the bizarre design has left home hunters in stitches.

One person quipped that one of the doors could be the entrance to the mythical The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe land.

Suzi Cointreau wrote: ‘Woah. Interesting arrangement of doors. I wonder if Narnia is involved?’

Nikki Pilkington said: ‘Well, it is a unique self build design, that’s for sure.’

Another added: ‘I have even more questions now. Like, Why is there a couch in the garage and why is it facing all those doors?’

A fourth person said: ‘What a cheerful and not-at-all cold place to sit and watch the tiny TV and three cupboards.’

Rowan Allport joked: ‘Behind one of these doors is your route to freedom. Behind two of them are XL bullies. Choose wisely.’

Andy commented: ‘Behind two of these doors is a goat.’

The home, in Wolverhampton, is being sold by D B Roberts & Partners, on Rightmove, as reported by Luxury Property News.

The listing makes no mention of the doors.

It reads: ‘Well established and a fantastic adventure garden for a young family and their children to spend many good times in or a gardeners haven, where they can spend many hours of the day enjoying the benefits of this superb garden.

‘You would never think, once you’re sitting in the rear aspect, that you are so central to excellent amenities, New Cross Hospital and road network links to Wolverhampton City Centre and further afield.

‘It is only a ten-minute drive to Junction 1 of the M54, linking directly to the M6/M5 Motorway connections.

‘A central location for sure with the tranquillity of a rear garden as if you were in a rural setting.

‘Our vendors designed and built the property back in the late 1970’s, completed in 1980 and have resided here ever since.

‘With its stunning curb appeal you will be drawn into viewing this property alone just from how it looks externally and once you are inside you will see all of its full potential.

‘Step inside, an enclosed entrance porch and welcoming entrance hallway greets you with accommodation briefly comprising of a thorough living and dining room, kitchen, separate utility room, ground floor guest WC and garage, currently partitioned into a useful store area, all completing the ground floor.

‘To the first floor is a lovely feature gallery landing and three excellent-sized bedrooms, each accommodating double beds.

‘The family bathroom has been refitted with a separate shower cubicle.

‘The horseshoe ‘on-off’ driveway offers parking for over four vehicles with gates to both sides giving access to the rear garden.

‘Overall the most splendid property most worthy of a viewing.’
