The 50-year-old’s decision will fuel speculation about a potential move to Manchester United, with the future of their head coach, Erik ten Hag, still unclear.
Tuchel revealed on Friday that he had failed to reach an agreement to extend his stay at Bayern, who will end the season without a trophy after missing out on the Bundesliga title for the first time since 2011-12. His final game in charge will be on Saturday, away to Hoffenheim.
