Thom Yorke storms off stage after row with pro-Palestinian heckler

Must read

Thom Yorke, the Radiohead frontman, left the stage during a concert in Melbourne after arguing with a pro-Palestinian heckler.

The 56-year-old musician was performing a solo show on Wednesday night in the Australian city, when an audience member began chastising him about the mounting death toll in Gaza.

“How many dead children will it take for you to condemn the genocide in Gaza?” the concertgoer yelled.

Yorke replied: “Come up here and say that, right here, come on … come up on stage and say what you want to say.

“Don’t stand there like a coward, come here and say it. You want to piss on everybody’s night.”

Yorke then briefly left the stage as the crowd booed.

He returned minutes later to play
