It seemed as though This Morning fans were left less than impressed on Tuesday morning after hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard spoke to Gina Sigobodhla. During the episode, Gina opened up about how ‘vampire vagina treatment’ changed her life after her body had struggled from childbirth.
Towards the end of the interview, Ben questioned if her issues had now gone since getting the treatment. She replied: “To be honest, most of the symptoms have reduced.”
The guest explained that she used to frequently go to the bathroom in the middle of the night but that since has changed. She added: “You’re waking up and you’re still feeling quite tired and the dryness as well. I just feel that sensation has come back because I think it was after two to three months I started to feel something has actually changed.”
Gina told the two hosts that she went into the operation with a positive mindset as she wanted it to work and she trusted her doctor. As Cat thanked Gina and Dr Sarah Jenkins for joining, Ben had some unusual parting words.
He said: “Sounds like you’ve got your smile back and your husband, I’m sure is enjoying it as well. He’s got his wife back, that must be really important for the two of you so thank you for sharing your story.”
Gina seemed a bit caught off-guard by Ben’s comment as she awkwardly chucked before agreeing.
Before speaking to the woman, Ben seemed to poke fun at the operation when speaking to the Loose Women ladies about what was coming up on their show.
As it transpired Coleen Nolan has a new tattoo, Ben quipped: “I’m assuming Coleen’s new tattoo is of me?” Although she quickly cut him off by adding: “No, it’s a vampire vagina!”
While the Loose Women audience erupted into laughter and applauded her remark, Ben hit back: “Hold on, don’t you have one of those already Coleen?” The ITV star joked: “It only comes out at night!”
However, This Morning fans weren’t impressed with the probing of the guest’s situation after learning more about her heartbreaking story.
@louisebowman133 said: “Poor woman doesn’t look happy after they all just took the mickey.”
@criticaltv1 commented: “They all laughing at that woman, bet she’s sitting on the sofa thinking what have I done, why did I come on this show”
It transpired that Gina had had a traumatic experience in 2004 during the birth of her first child when having a third-degree tear.
A few years later, she fell pregnant with twins, however, sadly she was forced to have an emergency C-section at 27 weeks as one of the twins was not developing properly.
During this time, Gina was told she had preeclampsia and blood clots in her lungs, with her twin boy sadly dying after four and a half months.
Falling pregnant again a while after, the guest explained she started to struggle with her body and discovered the “vampire vagina” treatment.
Learning more about the treatment, Dr Sara explained tiny Botox needles are used to inject the patient’s own blood into the clitoris and around the vagina to rejuvenate the skin.
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
