Welcome to the Week in Fashion, Bazaar’s at-a-glance guide to what the industry is talking about.
Dior Elevates the Dad Sneaker
When creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri debuted her Fall/Winter ’24 womenswear collection for Christian Dior earlier this year, she included a shoe that is sure to become the most sought-after dad sneaker in town: the Dior Chrono.
These chunky, metallic shoes—which combine the codes of athletic running shoes and stylish designer footwear—just dropped on May 23, and you can purchase them in hues of white, rose gold, and silver.
If you look closely at these sneakers, each one features the “CD” initials on the side and a subtle star decorating the tongue, allowing them to stand out from other dad shoes. Don’t be surprised if they start popping up everywhere—you can pick up your own pair here.
Burberry Leans Into the Equestrian Trend
From Cowboy Carter to Bella Hadid’s horse girl pics, we’ve seen country western style popping up all over the place. Now, Burberry is leaning into the trend and embracing its equestrian roots with a new campaign for the Rocking Horse bag.
The saddle bag, which was envisioned by the label’s current chief creative officer, Daniel Lee, has a shape inspired by a rocking horse, with straps inspired by reins.
With this new campaign, the British fashion house recruited a number of its ambassadors, including Bright, Jun Ji-Hyun, Tang Wei, Asami Mizukawa, Lily Donaldson, and Nora Attal, to model the latest iteration as they posed in stylish trenches and flowy dresses. May the cowboy trend never die.
DALYA Opens Up Shop

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal Team Up Off the Court
Tennis greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal found themselves reuniting off the court when they got together for the Louis Vuitton Core Values campaign, shot by Annie Leibovitz.
This campaign, first launched in 2007, is meant to represent the French fashion house’s legacy within the realm of travel. Vuitton has historically recruited big names to be the faces of the campaign, from Sofia Coppola to Sally Ride.
When it comes to athletes, the maison has paired up rivals before, like in 2022, when the campaign featured soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who posed alongside each other while surrounded by travel items from Vuitton.
Now, Federer and Nadal are riding the tenniscore wave and becoming just the latest A-listers to be a part of Vuitton history. Game, set, match.
