The Masked Singer fans have claimed they will no longer be watching the show after the identity of Spag Bol was left on a cliffhanger – urging them to return to the channel tomorrow to find out.

Joel Dommett returned as the host of the ITV mystery singing competition, where Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall returned as judges.

Rita Ora was replaced by Love Island host Maya Jama on the panel who was raring to go and unmask the array of characters this season – joined by guest judge Mo Farah.

Excited fans tuned into the show to play along and try to work out who the celebrities were underneath the quirky costumes,

Tonight, Spag Bol was the first to be booted from the competition which meant the judges, audience and viewers at home should have seen who was underneath the mask.

During the VT where the character dropoed clues, McCall could be heard saying “not really Italian, right?” with Farah agreeing: “Putting an accent on.”

The character also let slip: “This dish is enjoyed around the world” to which Jama said: “Maybe world famous”.

Two tennis rackets could be seen laid on a table alongside five tennis balls with 06:00 printed on them, with the character also mentioning being “hopelessly devoted”.

Spag Bol then shared a riddle, which was: “Spag Bol is delicious it has to be said, but spilled on the floor it can stain it quite red.”

Whilst many fans were ready to see who was underneath the mask, they were left bitterly disappointed when the show abruptly ended without their mask coming off.

Taking to their X account, one fumed: “You know what, the masked singer can go f itself after the stunt the producers just made with tomorrow’s unveiling.

“Just spent 90 mins watching. More fool them, I’m out now. Won’t watch again”.

Someone else added: “Rather p***ed off now. Cannot be a***d to watch it after this meltdown. Come on, we deserve at least one unmasking after sitting through that drivel”.
