X Factor group Union J has been marred by multiple devastating tragedies since their rise to fame on the talent contest in 2012.
The group’s latest heartbreak comes as former bandmate Jaymi Hensley’s fiancé Oliver Marmon was tragically killed on Monday.
The singer’s partner plummeted to his death after falling out of a hotel window in the early hours of the morning from Hind Hotel in Wellingborough, Northampton.
Jaymi rose to prominence on X Factor where he auditioned as part of the trio Triple J – consisting of himself, Josh Cuthbert and JJ Hamblett.
They were formed in 2011, but when they took part in the show the following year George Shelley joined the group at the request of the judges, before being renamed Union J.
Casey Johnson then took George Shelley’s place after announced his departure in March 2016.

Oliver’s family has posted heartbreaking tributes calling him a ‘spiritual, gentle soul’ who was ‘beautiful both inside and out’.
Hairstylist Oliver and Jaymi had been in a relationship since 2009 with the loved-up couple announcing their engagement in 2014.
They met when they were both aged 18 and had recently shared smiling selfies of themselves on Instagram on their trips to Norway and France.
The couple were due to wed on September 24 with Jaymi last year using a quote from the late Queen Elizabeth II to describe Oliver as his ‘strength and stay’ during their 14-year relationship.
Jaymi’s ex bandmate and close friend Josh shared his devastation following the tragic death of Oliver.
Sharing a photo on social media of him and his wife Jaymi and Oliver, he wrote: ‘I have no words for how tragic this is, absolutely heartbreaking. Olly you were kind, pure and loving.
‘We were all so incredibly lucky to have known you. You were one of a kind and one of life’s good people. Your life has been cut way too soon, as has your love story with Jaymi. Rest in peace my friend.’
JJ also shared a tribute on his social media and wrote: ‘I can hardly believe I’m writing this. You were such a dear friend and I feel so lucky to have known you for the past 13 years, sharing so many amazing memories together.

But this isn’t the first tragedy the group has faced as ex bandmate George also suffered a devastating family death.
George’s sister Harriet, 21, was killed on April 28, 2017, after she suffered fatal head injuries outside the O2 Academy in Bristol, as she ran out into the road between two tour buses.
He previously spoke about grief and his sister’s tragic death on Loose Women and told how he come close to suicide.
The singer admitted he became agoraphobic and was put on anti-depressants in the aftermath of her accident.
Speaking about the stigma of mental illness and bereavement, George was asked if he had ever considered suicide, to which he replied: ‘I mean, I was in a… I don’t want to say the words because I don’t even want to think that myself, but I wasn’t well and that’s the honest truth of it.
‘I was seeing a therapist. He recommended anti-depressants three times, by the third time he said, “this is it, come on, George,” and I was afraid of what people would think of me.
‘By the third time I accepted it. Understanding what you’re going through and knowing these things are there to help you for the time-being.

‘The medication and support with medical professionals helps you, it clears the path for you.
‘It’s helped me learn how to talk about it, I go to a siblings retreat where siblings who’ve lost their brothers and sisters meet up.’
Harriet, from Clevedon, North Somerset, had been due to graduate from Birmingham University with a first class degree in midwifery when the incident happened.
Meanwhile, bandmate JJ’s accused his ex-girlfriend of exaggerating their son’s rare brain condition because he claimed she is suffering with Munchausen syndrome by proxy.
The singer’s concerns led New York City‘s Administration for Children’s Services to suspend Princeton’s brain surgery for six months pending an investigation into Lopez.
However, there is no indication that any of the doctors consulting on Princeton’s case had suspected that the mother was acting against her son’s best interest, according to Lopez and hospital records she provided to NBC News.
According to a hospital report from October 4, 2018, Hamblett overheard a doctor saying that Princeton’s surgery ‘wasn’t necessary’.

Jamie ‘JJ’ raised concerns that the mother of his son Princeton, former model Caterina Andorfer Lopez, may be mentally ill as the couple have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle since their split in 2015
Princeton was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called Chiari malformation in February 2017. He was due to undergo a third surgery last October when New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services launched an investigation into Lopez
The operation to treat his Chiari malformation, a condition that causes part of the brain to push into the spinal cord and that can cause pain, numbness, headaches and weakness, was the boy’s third since he first exhibited symptoms in early 2017.
In another report prepared by a clinical ethicist at the hospital quotes the father as saying: ‘It’s like she wants my son to be ill.’
In 2022, Josh revealed he was attacked by a gang of men on motorcycles who threatened to kill him.
He said he was ‘terrified’ after being ambushed as he drove on a quiet street in London on Saturday night.
Taking to Instagram, the singer detailed his ‘horrific’ and ‘insane experience’ that took place just five minutes away from his home.
He explained: ‘I was driving down a dual carriage way (it was completely empty) I was the only car and all of a sudden two big Harley Davidson motorbikes came behind me.
‘One of them came right in to my lane and turned his bike sideways towards me, I had to do an emergency stop to not hit in to him.
‘The other bike then came behind me and stopped his bike right behind my car, at this point my parking sensors were going nuts and I couldn’t move the car at all, I was pinned in.

In 2015 Josh was left injured after crashing his Mercedes while driving with wife Chloe Lloyd in London (pictured in August)
‘Two of the guys then got off the bikes and one came to my driver window and one came to the front passenger window and were shouting “Get the F*** out the car, get out the car now” over and over.
‘I then shouted back saying I’m not getting out of the car. They then got even angrier / more aggressive and the guy on my right started to punch the window of my car numerous times (how the glass didn’t break I have no idea) trying to get me out of the car….’
Josh continued: ‘They were in full bike gear, helmets (with their visors down), padded knuckle gloves etc. So I couldn’t see them, which I think made it a lot scarier and more intimidating.
‘The guy outside the passenger window was head butting the glass to try and break it but luckily had no luck either. One of them said if I don’t get out the car they were going to kill me (that was fun).
‘It was honestly so terrifying, I was trapped and couldn’t move. I couldn’t even find my phone to call the police, because all my stuff flew everywhere after I did the emergency stop at the start of the attack.
‘Luckily about a minute later other cars started to come and they then got back on their bikes and left. Just as they left they smashed my wing mirror off in anger.’

TMZ reported that the singer couldn’t stop his Mercedes in time and slammed into the car causing serious damage to his vehicle.
The young couple reportedly escaped with a few bruises and soft tissue injuries to their necks.
