The ‘Fortnite’ OG Launch Time, Weapon List, Battle Pass Info And More

Must read

Epic has deduced that people enjoy Fortnite OG mode, and they are now adding it permanently to the game starting tomorrow. The mode will now stay on indefinitely, have its own seasons and battle pass, and all that starts on Friday, December 6.

We have a lot of information you’ll probably want to know about launch here, including:

Fortnite OG Mode Release Time

That should be at daily reset (not shop reset) at 6 AM PT, 9 AM ET, unless Epic changes something and activates it earlier in the morning/overnight, which could be around 2 AM ET.

Fortnite OG Mode Weapon List

Epic has detailed the OG weapons you should expect to see in the mode as you try to channel the good old days, though there will be more than this as time goes on:

  • Assault Rifle
  • Burst Assault Rifle
  • Scoped Assault Rifle
  • Pump Shotgun
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Pistol
  • Revolver
  • Submachine Gun
  • Tactical Machine Gun
  • Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle
  • Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle
  • Grenade Launcher
  • Rocket Launcher
  • Damage Trap
  • Ceiling Zapper
  • Wall Dynamo

Fortnite OG Quality of Life Changes

They are not completely forgoing all changes to the game in the last seven years. For instance, there are reboot vans, you can see sniper scope glints, max building resources are at 999 and double pump is enabled on Shotguns. Building mechanics will stay how they are today, and movement additions like sprint, slide, mantle, door bash and moving while healing are there. No wall running, as per this new season.

Fortnite OG Battle Pass

Epic is making Fortnite OG seasons and therefore battle passes shorter, and the one added tomorrow will run until January 31, 2025 at 2 AM ET, so just under two months from now. It will use XP from any mode in the game, not just Fortnite OG. There are 45 tiers with a “modern twist” on classic items at outfits. That starts with Renegade Rebel, Aerial Assault Bomber and Skull Commander in this first pass, each with an unlockable alt style.

It remains to be seen how this might affect the base Battle Royale, but no doubt most players are still going to want to experience the new season as it runs. I do wonder if some of the “magic” of Fortnite OG may be gone if it is no longer a limited time offering, but this appears to be what fans wanted, and here we are. This all kicks off tomorrow and we’ll see how reception is this time around with what has stayed the same, and what has changed.
