Ronnie Wood was all smiles watching his son Tyrone marry fiancĂ©e Faye, the daughter of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris, in the rock n’ roll wedding of the summer.
The Rolling Stones icon’s family joined them on the steps of London‘s Marylebone Old Town Hall on Friday throwing confetti at the newlyweds, including ex-wife Jo Wood, 69, daughter Leah, 45 and son Jesse, 47, who was joined by his TV presenter wife Fearne Cotton, 42, his twin daughters Grace and Alice, eight, and current wife Sally Humphreys, 46.
But there was one member of the Wood clan conspicuous by his absence, Jamie Wood – Ronnie’s stepson and Tyrone’s half-brother – who shunned the ceremony.
Jamie, 49, and Tyrone, 41, were once thick as thieves while they grew up together under the same roof regularly visited by A-listers.
But a family fallout over money drove a wedge between Ronnie and his stepson and former manager, whom the Stones guitarist, 77, took in as a one-year-old following Jo’s split from his biological father, clothing entrepreneur, Peter Greene in 1976.

In a candid interview with The Times, Jamie Wood, 48, delved into his experience growing up with an astronomically famous father, and the impact this had on his upbringing
A source said: ‘Ronnie and Jamie have grown further and further apart and it’s sad because he grew up alongside his stepbrothers and sister.
‘The fact he was nowhere to be seen at Tyrone’s wedding just shows how the rift has never healed’.
Jamie and stepsister Leah have a healthy relationship and their kids get on well, according to the latter.
But his closeness with Tyrone has been hindered by his brother’s love of partying, something Jamie is well and truly over now.
He says: ‘He likes to party and go out and stay out all night and all that. Not for me. Not for me, ever.’
Jamie has previously told how Ronnie and Jo’s split in 2011 after 24 years of marriage ‘destroyed him’ and claimed the rocker showed ‘no loyalty’ towards him during the divorce process.
Up until that moment, Ronnie treated him like one of his own while growing up in unique surroundings, which saw him attend 17 schools in various countries as his rock n’ roll parents lived life to the full.
Jamie recalled seeing the likes of Hollywood stars including Michael J Fox, John Belushi, and Christopher Reeve hanging out in his house in the early hours while they lived in New York in the 1980s.
Plus, he also remembers drugs being particularly prevalent, namely Keith Richards’ joints in ashtrays which Jamie admitted to stealing at just 10 years-old.
But Jamie, who now has three children of his own, claimed his childhood was not always enjoyable, and a big part of that was his relationship with Ronnie.
Jamie (grey jumper), who now has three children of his own, is not Ronnie’s biological son, but grew up with the musician, his mother Jo Wood and three siblings – Leah, Tyrone and Jesse
Jamie described growing up with his unusual family as ‘always being second’ to his father, who he said ‘always came first’
‘Dad was God,’ he said, adding that Ronnie’s fame meant he had ‘no friends’ as no parents would allow their children to visit the Woods house
His mother, Jo, split from Jamie’s biological father Peter Greene in 1976
He described growing up with his unusual family as ‘always being second’ to his father, who Jamie said ‘always came first’ and was ‘God’.
Jamie added that Ronnie’s fame meant he had ‘no friends’ as no parents would allow their children to visit the Woods’ house.
Speaking to MailOnline in 2020, Jamie says Ronnie spent most of his childhood ‘in the toilet’ as he poked fun at his style of parenting.
Jamie said: ‘I lived with him since I was one-year-old. I’m surprised he remembers me to be honest,’
‘He was probably like ‘who is this 21-year-old?’ when I grew up.
‘He spent the first 12 years locked in the toilet – partying, drinking. You can’t look after kids in that condition. We never had much of a relationship.
‘Ronnie was a dude mum was with – the dude it’s all about.’
Shortly before Ronnie and Jo’s split, sparked by the rocker’s infidelity after he was caught stumbling into the house with cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova in 2009, Jamie was managing his father’s businesses after a property deal allegedly went wrong forcing the Woods’ to remortgage their ÂŁ5 million home.
Jamie quit his own successful events firm, which turned over ÂŁ9million a year, to take over his parents financial affairs, a decision he now brands a ‘f**king nightmare.’
Following his parents’ split, lawyers dealing with the divorce wanted a ‘clean break’, and that meant from Jamie too, who was relinquished from his management role and Ronnie’s stepson claims he was never paid for his services.
Speaking to The Times in May 2023, Jamie says lawyers turning against himself and Jo ‘just destroyed me. Dad didn’t… There was no loyalty there. He was off, drunk.’ Jamie tried calling him to get him to intervene, ‘and he didn’t pick up. So I just got on with it.’
Jamie now lives in Surrey with wife Jodie and his three children.
His youngest son is the same age as Ronnie’s twin daughters he shares with wife Sally, but that has failed to bring them closer together.

Jamie said: ‘I don’t actually know what he’s like these days. I’ve barely seen him.’
His eldest son Leo is a promising boxer but he’s never invited Ronnie to one of his bouts because he’d be ‘worried about him saying no. That’d be more rejection.’
Jamie added: ‘Why do I want to expose my children to that life, and they’re going to love you, and then you’re going to let them down?
‘He did that with us, so it’s not going to change.’
Asked if he really thought, deep down, Ronnie loved him as much as his biological children, Jamie says: ‘I knew I wasn’t his blood. And I would bring it up with him and say, ‘Do you still love me like you love the other ones?’ And he’d say yes. He was lying. But, you know, he’d say yes.’
The breakdown of Jamie’s relationship with Ronnie coincided with the passing of his biological dad – whom he was never close to.
He found out he was dying during a phone call out of the blue.
Jamie explains: ‘I didn’t believe him – and then he died. So I lost two dads at the same time.’
And he never sought to sit down with Ronnie and have a heart-to-heart, purely because Jamie’s ‘not sure where his heart is’.
He adds: ‘It’s about somewhere, because it’s a good heart. ‘He’s got a good heart. He’s a good man.
‘He’s a caring man when you’re with him, I guess.’
Despite the feud, Jamie – who had issues with drugs as a teenager later overdosing at 21 and also battled back from a heart attack in 2017 to live a clean lifestyle – is still in awe of Ronnie’s musical talent and feels he’s the most under-appreciated member of the Stones.
He explains: ‘He’s such a talent.
‘He’s an amazing artist and he can play any instrument
‘He was the spare part, the Prince Harry of the band- It was always about Keith and Mick.’
